Who was asleep at the wheel when they chose a marketing director at Anheuser-Busch?

Bud Light suffered nothing less than a catastrophic collapse of sales nationally over Easter weekend. Something like an 80% drop in sales from tap and a corresponding 60% drop in store-bought sales. That is a loss of revenue in the tens of millions of dollars which the company will not be able to make up in annual revenue totals regardless of what comes next.

What could possibly have possessed a senior executive of that company to hire and put in charge of the entire company's advertising someone who was so detached from reality, that she believed it was smart to put a hideous transsexual male dressed as a female at the forefront of an ad campaign?

If I were an executive board member I'd be a little upset.

Think about the VETO Biden did recently.
The bill allows Federal retirement plans to base investments on ESG scores. So by having a Trans mascot, their ESG score goes up, so they can funnel government trillions to companies like Bud. Note that Nike is doing the same thing.

Understood - yet their company stock lost $4.7 billion in value in a few days.

Analysts I have seen have agreed that the magnitude of lost revenue from Bud Light sales collapse in a single week will be difficult to recover. Project those losses plus the lost value of stock over the whole fiscal year and their strategery (sic) loses some luster. But being a big-cap company that is cash rich, maybe they feel it's worth it over the long term.

Then again, what if it's a marketing ploy? How many Bud Lights would you have to drink to believe that's a hot woman?

HEHE. I loved Gutfeld on FRIday. He had a huge pic of the nutcase woman who initiated the crazy commercial and said "At least they kept one of the Clydesdales."

I'd like to see who 'shorted' the stock before the ad, and will buy it back even lower. If you knew this was going to happen you make money both ways.

As long as they get their cut, the SEC people will likely look the other way.

It's becoming safe to assume that third-world style corruption is now the new normal.

It may have started with Xiden's braying about forcing the Ukraine's justice department to drop the probe into Hunter's connections to bribes, etc.

Straight out of Catch-22 - "...act boastfully about that which you ought rightly to be ashamed."
