What happened in Congress today proves there’s no fixing America anymore

Rep. Matt Gaetz tried holding the line by vowing to not vote for McCarthy, but instead almost got attacked by another person.

After 15 rounds of voting, McCarthy is now speaker. Gaetz did all he could.

The entire D.C. swamp is impossible to stop by the public alone. Nobody can stop them.

Rightfully-elected Gov. Kari Lake once vaguely suggested that some states (including Arizona) should secede from the union.

Just my opinion, but if the entire country gets too decayed with socialism in the next 10 years (sooner or later), I guess Lake has a point: some states are better off going their separate ways, even if it sounds like a crazy idea.

And to add insult to injury, the 2024 election will very likely end up getting rigged again.

But again, nobody in government cares about the American people. The D.C. swamp (and establishment) continues to win every time.

There’s no such thing as a two-party system anymore. We’re either governed by pure evil, or the lesser of evils. I wish there are better options for us citizens.

And of course, I will not believe the “red hype” going forward into 2024 and beyond. I won’t bother reading/watching the polls, the overly-optimistic headlines, and the energetic rallies. Coping is a waste of time when reality hits hard for some (including me).

It should have been created years ago.

The Bottom Line:  If you're FOR creating the Republican Red Dog Coalition you are part of America's solution.  If you're
AGAINST creating the Republican Red Dog Coalition you are part of America's problem.  It's that simple.  Most
Republican voters will likely be FOR creating the Republican Red Dog Coalition.  All Republican voters will soon learn
about the benefits of the Red Dog Coalition as well as 2016 Clinton Democrat Donald Trump!

Republicans are at the root of every single problem in this country.  Every! Single!  Problem!

"Divide and conquer."
Julius Caesar

TURN JOE BIDEN INTO A CONSERVATIVE BLUE DOG DEMOCRAT!

The time is now for Republicans to represent 75% of American voters instead of letting the 25% American voter support
liberal Democrats run America into the ground!  If Republicans lose in 2024 - to the 25% voter support liberal
Democrats - this country is finished.

75% of American voters are conservative, centrist or moderate.  Only 25% of American voters are liberal.

The Republican Party needs a House of Representatives (HOR) 20 member CONSERVATIVE Red Dog Coalition
to exploit the already existing HOR Democrat CONSERVATIVE Blue Dog Coalition members and CONSERVATIVE
Democrats in the US Senate.  Going forward, the Republican Party simply cannot survive with out a HOR Red Dog
Coalition - they just can't.

10/10 Composition:

10 HOR Repuplicans Pro-life from pro-life states (Conservative)
10 HOR Republicans Pro-choice from pro-choice states (Centrist/Moderate)

Abortion is now a state issue.  Republican candidates at the House, Senate and Presidential
levels are now free from Democrats using abortion as a wedge issue.

Part of the Republican Party HAS TO BE pro/choice in order for the Republican Party to survive.
If the Republican Party is exclusively pro-life than goodbye Republican Party!

1.  Copy the HOR Democrat CONSERVATIVE Blue Dog Coalition charter and add two items - Energy
Independence and National Border Security.

2.  Copy the HOR Democrat CONSERVATIVE Blue Dog Coalition logo of the blue dog looking to the
CONSERVATIVE RIGHT and color it red.

3.  Expose 2016 Clinton Democrat "Plant"/2018 and 2022 election saboteur Donald Trump and remove him from the Republican Party.  Donald Trump is still destroying the Republican Party from the
inside.

Disagree. Freedom Caucus kicked some TAIL.The brief unpleasantness in round #14 was a misunderstanding. Sometimes it's good to take a break from politics.

It allows one to regain some perspective.

Living well is the best revenge.

Do you have any activities/hobbies other than study/discussion of public policy?

That is also something encouraged at Right Minds. Discussion of things other than politics.

For instance, I am a music lover (all types of music except rap/hip-hop), enjoy literature (all types from classic to SF), a firearms enthusiast, health-food gourmand and charger at windmills.

As a matter of fact, I sell windmills and windmill products!! Hello!!

BTW, that vote was not a record - that was held in the early 1800s @ 133 votes over two months.

This also highlights how ill-advised coalition governments can be. Israel's government is one of the few that work even passably and that is only some of the time. Israel seems to be almost ungovernable because of the power of small, radical (kook) groups to fudge up the works of government.

This latest House drama is a case-in-point of how unmanageable political coalitions (which are like the House debate on steroids extended over the entire year) are and another thing that suggests newbie REDDOGREPUBLICAN's ideas about forging a coalition with Democrat party Congress members is just kooky.

Democrats are treacherous and dishonorable by nature. That tendency will get worse, not better if they are granted power to influence policy-making in the GOP House Caucuses or the Senate.

I think REDDOG may not be what he represents - seems suspiciously like a false-flag operative (or at best a fanatical, poorly-informed, opinion-poll-obsessed kook).

I see it differently. Agreeing to work with RINOS is equivalent to working with the devil.

I don't have faith nor trust in the federal government anymore. How can anyone call the GOP majority the freedom caucus if part of them includes traitors? I think only a few of them (including Biggs, Gosar, Gaetz) are the real heros.

Right now, things seem to be moving along ok despite the hiccups. But, time will tell if they keep their word or if some Republicans really are who they appear to be. It's too early to judge since we're only a few days into 2023.

Not defending DJT, but historically, there were members within his own party that turned against him. Some through DJT's fault, others caused by uncontrollable circumstances. So why should I believe this new Congress will be any different? That's where I got the idea of "controlled-opposition."

Well, it is what it is. And I'll simply have to accept what we have. This is better than nothing, at least.

Anyways, you're right about taking a break from political madness. I don't need to make it any more harder on myself than I have to. I'll gladly entertain the idea of discussing topics outside of politics on my free time (I assumed this forum was about politics after all).

I won’t be posting too much, but rather focusing more on quality over quantity posts.

And that reminds me, when you mentioned coalition governments, I remembered the 2008-2009 Canadian Parliament dispute. Layton, Duceppe, and Dion tried forming a coalition government to kick PM Stephen Harper out. That didn't work of course. Coalition governments rarely work unless you are willing to compromise so much. That's partly why Harper couldn't get much done back then (until he won his majority in 2011).

One more thing. The real cancer seems to be reading the headlines too much. At least for me. Too easy to judge based on the reporting alone.

"Divide and conquer."
Julius Caesar

DINO - Democrat In Name Only!  This is what the Democrat CONSERVATIVE Blue Dog Coalition and CONSERVATIVE Democrats in the US Senate will result in after the Republicans create their CONSERVATIVE Red Dog Coalition.

Clearly you are a dog of a different color.

Calling other members names (losers for instance) because they ask questions or make pertinent comments is not a way to get along well here.

It is typical of some types of false-flag posters intent on sewing discord.
