They smashed it into the surface of the moon at high speed after it spun out of control. The little bump-in-the-road at Chernobyl was a clue. Along with the dead cosmonaut's and the long (unintended) records for orbital hours required of theirs. It is said ironically that one doesn't retire from their cosmonaut's career, one survives it. |
