An excerpt from a Thomas Sowell (SMIA) book which dealt with heritable conditions for discrimination:

"In 1997, organized efforts were also begun to seek preferential treatment for India's 15 million eunuchs, though obviously they were not the descendants of other eunuchs, and so could not inherit historical group disadvantages."

Makes sense to me.

Regards,
Russ

We are it seems, subsumed by irony in the modern age.

I wonder if anyone else has read  "The Camp Followers" and what you think about it. I liked it.

I don't like admitting it, but I don't really understand this thread.

Robert,
Sowell was just noting that it was unlikely that a eunuch had inherited his condition from another eunuch.

I was just being smart-ass, as I am sometimes inclined to be.

Take care,
Russ
