Have crime and driving gotten worse in Phoenix?

Just started to notice a rise in property theft. And drivers seem so aggressive here in Phoenix. Crashes are occuring more frequently too. Doesn't help that drivers in Seattle have begun to behave more like those in AZ. Did I bring the Arizona driver curse to Washington State?

Heh. Don't get me started with Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell. They're all the same people under different names.

I'm fairly sure it's a "national malaise", not just a local phenom, bro. Exact reason is not apparent to me.

Not surprised about the rise in crime everywhere.

And I wonder why the area around my neighborhood have suffered recently. Phoenix is starting to feel like Seattle too (at least for me).

If you haven't read Thompson on politics you've got a lot to look forward to. Try his, "On the Campaign Trail '72". He was one of the original libertarians. The sort who are no longer welcome in the 'Crat party (like JFK et al). Someone who speaks truth to power, IOW.

I don't really consider myself to be an actual libertarian. That's because the real Libertarian Party holds views on economics that some will not agree with. And they also have certain views on other subjects that I don't agree with either.

I consider myself to be an Independent Libertarian to emphasize that I'm not associated with the Libertarian Party (and that I'm open-minded as long as it doesn't take away my freedom). The party itself doesn't have the best candidates.

Unfortunately, no political parties are immune to compromise and sabotage. But, some people in the Republican Party are the best we've got so far.

I got the title wrong - it's "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail 1972"

BTW, Thompson was an iconoclast in the best tradition. Much like George Orwell, and Machiavelli.
