Just listened to Tucker. It appears gofundme.com is giving the $10 million they collected for the truckers in Canada, to organizations of their choosing! This should be illegal!!!!!!!
A lot of stuff online is being defined legally as it unfolds. No doubt there will be litigation related to such a large sum. Intent is a large part of the law - so judges will probably side with those who paid the money believing it would go to the people they intended to get it, and GoFundMe will have to return it or give it to the intended persons eventually.
Bet on it.
Bottom line; don't give money to any third-party person/entity unless you are sure it will go to the intended person(s)directly before you do.
