Mexifornia is starting to feel the momentum shift some. Politicians are switching parties dumping the 'Crats because of being pro-criminal and anti-business ('can't imagine why that is becoming unpopular with voters).

The above story is another classic case of what statistics have demonstrated for years (and been ignored by hoplophobes) that half the time a firearm is used successfully in self-defense it is not even discharged. 

This is a classic happy ending - no innocent people were seriously hurt in the initial robbery attempt (though being pepper-sprayed can be traumatic for some) and no valuables were taken. 

Best of all, the lowlifes were caught by LEOs and will likely all face nothing less than 20 years in the slammer for their combined offenses (just using pepper spray in the commission of a robbery is a felony).

Case-in-point; the best way to stop armed criminals is by action of armed good guys. Duh.
