That is one of the things that is meant by the term, "American exceptionalism" - a powerful nation that is not tyrannical and imperialistic. That is us. Whatever other nonsense some ignorant, hateful people may believe. Historically elitist Utopians (Nazis, Marxists and Fundie Muzz et al) have little or no use for free representative governance. Their governments mutate swiftly and easily into bureaucrat-dominated, Statist tyrannical oligarchies/autocracies.
