How is it that in a democracy (rule by the majority) governments can pander to minuscule anti-conservative minority interests at every turn.

No need to post the article but I noticed that San Francisco city council banned use of all police robots after a "public outcry" expressing fear. So if there is a public outcry about fear of small brown dogs, the city will ban them as well? Where does pandering to infinitesimally small percentages of society end and genuine democracy begin in places like San Francisco?

I note that liberal-dominated cities are swift to pander to any complaint from someone who wants to use government force to stop something that is politically incorrect for small minorities of far-left people, but never the other way around. The most grotesquely, intrusively offensive things leftists do to terrorize, persecute and injure conservatives and other normal people are ignored totally or in many cases promulgated, supported and reinforced by supposedly "democratic" governments even though the majority of the constituent populations poll strongly against their decisions.

One of the robots at issue was used to deliver a Claymore mine to a heavily-armed suspect who had murdered five Dallas police officers, then barricaded himself in a concrete parking structure where it was impossible to approach and stop him safely by any means except a robot.

Don't law enforcement officers have a moral right to defend themselves against blatant, vicious, wanton, murderous violence without terrible personal risk?

https://news.gallup.com/poll/388988/political-ideology-steady-conservatives-moderates-tie.aspx

75% - Conservative/Centrist/Moderate
25% - Liberal

Q.  If House of Representatives (HOR) Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (successor) creates the 20 member (10 pro/life & 10 pro/choice) conservative Red Dog Coalition to exploit the HOR Democrat conservative Blue Dog Coalition members and conservative Democrats in the US Senate, would President Joe Biden have to replace cabinet members with conservative Democrats and be forced to abandon many of his liberal policies?

A.  Yes.  The 2021 Gallup National Poll showed that 75% of Americans are conservative, centrist or moderate.  Only 25% of Americans are liberal.  The Republican Party has a HUGE-BIG-GIGANTIC-INSURMOUNTABLE advantage over liberal Democrats.

Q.  What happens to the 25% voter support liberal Democrats?

A.  They become powerless - everywhere - including San Francisco.

DINOs - Democrats in name only.

"Conservative democrats" do not exist. With 'Crats, the term "moderate" only means, moderately irrational, not totally irrational.

I'm afraid the thesis you promote fails due to that single - all important element. There is no way that any coalition of so-called "conservative" democrats would ever work with genuinely conservative politicians on the other side. Absolutely no way.

Such an effort would do far more damage than anything. Too bad the author of these posts didn't bother to stick around to discuss the matter more. Advocacy has a responsibility to be accessible to questions and able to give compelling answers.

'Hope you come back to prove your mettle and stand up for what you advocate with such enthusiasm.
