as the story unfolds, turns out cops said Paul P. told them the guy was a "friend."

As the line between fact and fiction continues to blur out, I'm more likely to think this was an act. As before, the MSM pushes their narrative to suit the masters. I don't know what to believe.

Or possibly this is a distraction for the midterms. Too bad there aren't any term-limits for people like Pelosi. They don't deserve to be in office anymore.

Dee,
Rich people, especially rich people who are celebrities, political or otherwise, usually have layers of obstacles, usually called "security," to prevent members of the unwashed commoners from ambling into their living rooms.
That is what gave rise to the term "gated communities."

So far, I don't believe any part of this story, and my guess is that we will never know the real truth.

Take care,
Russ

Speaking from first hand experience, there is really not a lot of "great" security around big estates.

That's why gangs from outside the U.S. who are not afraid to take bigger risks for bigger rewards are flooding into the country through the open borders.

There are any number of ways to bypass the security perimeters of big estates. Most people who live there don't really surround themselves with tight security because it's intrusive (often not convenient or fun for them).

If a consultant tells them to tighten up, they bridle/whine and the consultant backs off.

Most people who live on big estates play a numbers game - figuring correctly that the odds on any given day of being targeted by a dangerous penetration of their grounds is slim, so they learn to forget about it, and never really tighten up their P and P's.

Distance from the urban centers is probably the best deterrent to incursions (the more-isolated, the more-secure). But even then people find ways to breech perimeter barriers/check-points.

I have worked at some of the most exclusive gated estates/ communities in Mexifornia and have accurate knowledge of many others. Incursions by random (mostly-harmless) nuts was fairly common, even though billionaires, celebrities and political figures lived there.

Former Beatle George Harrison was a tragic case-in-point, when a lunatic jumped the tall wall around his house, broke into the house and stabbed him repeatedly. He survived the attack initially but later died from lung failure, no-doubt aggravated by the lacerations from the stabbing.
People who are REALLY serious about security simply choose to live out in the middle of nowhere and only commute into the city to work, where they can live (provisionally) in truly secure locations and can enjoy fairly tight (top-echelon corporate or LEO-run) security.

The Pelosi residence is hardly a "big estate." It's more like a condo.

Russ, you are so right about the surveillance and protection of such properties. When those people picketed her house, they showed the wall, and security guards.

Those were likely temps - off duty cops sub-contracting from a private company. Walls may be easily scaled by someone unconcerned with arrest/prison time.

Full-time armed security is expensive. Most public officials get some help from the government but it doesn't always cover private residence security. So Pelosi likely hired the extra security due to the protests, then released them after the protests ended. The Pelosis might also have paid local law enforcement costs of assigning officers to the perimeter. It is possible to hire local LEOs in some cases - and they show up in full uniform with full authority but are actually being paid out of the property owners' pockets, not the city.

Even big estates with gated security for the home grounds generally have a very small armed presence most of the time. Their policy is to call the local gendarmes if there is trouble that can't be dealt with easily.

Slipping through might have been relatively easy for that lunatic. In any case it will be unlikely that the security managers or PD will release information about the actual circumstances of the incursion. They don't want to share that with the public for obvious reasons.

You forget her security detail is paid for by US taxpayers. She gets the best.

If it's intrusive (inconvenient) the enforcement is reduced to suit.

If you think any security personnel at the residence will refuse to reduce their enforcement if it inconveniences the Pelosi family, you are mistaken.

That's one of the reasons this is interesting. If they had sufficient security to stop the incursion, how did he get in? Maybe he had been there before...  He is reportedly an ACF, so it would be logical he might have been there before.

Here it is: the officers admitted that they were not watching the CCTV at the time.

Prolly 'cause the Pelosi family asked them not to - they didn't want to feel "watched" I'll bet.

It's like that scene in DePalma's Scarface when dozens of assassins sent by cartel head Sosa to exterminate Tony Montana come streaming over the walls of the compound - while the fancy CCTV cameras capture it - but not a sole is watching the monitors.

claiming He was drunk in a gay bar in SF, picked up the guy, who NBC says, was in Pelosi's  bedroom, while a third person opened the door...

Gateway is reporting two fabricated right wing websites were set up on Friday claiming DePAPE  was right wing, but were taken down less than 24 hours later (after doing  their harm)

DePape's baby mama says he loved Nancy and they were both progressives but he thought he was Jesus...

Additionally, when the media posted the police photograph of the broken window, all the glass was right there laying on the outside ledge.

They never did tell us who his companion was when he had his drunken accident.....

Yeah, sumfin ain't right here.

but Elon is allowing everyone free speech, saying

"Comedy is now legal on Twitter." Twitter has been fun for about 24 hours.

Maybe Nancy tried to have him snuffed for being such an embarrassment lately. He probably knows where some of the bodies are buried.
