Apparently they think the blacks in their audience aren't smart enough to know the difference.

The Brooklyn subway shooting suspect was known to the FBI as a potential terrorist until it stopped tracking him in 2019.
The FBI has still not released the suspect's name or photos of the unsub to the public.
Unusual behavior for a manhunt, no?

They released it eventually.

There is a period of time before LEOs make the information public, during which they try to determine if there is any evidence that the suspect (person-of-interest) has accomplices. They don't want to spook any possible associates by announcing that they know the suspect's name. They need to be able to put out BOLOs before tipping them off that heat is coming.

My guess is the cops (FBI et al) were fairly confident there was no evidence of anything but a single bad actor, so they released the I.D. to get the public's help in tracking him down (no associates to spook by doing it).

And as you've all likely noticed, it didn't take long after that to nab the fool...'tipster zeroed him.

It was classic how he got caught. Someone got the Net tip with a good photo - saw the suspect in public, dropped dime pronto and even kept the target in sight to guide the cops right to him!!

Not friggin' bad for an amateur!!
