The bottom line were several points- 

1) The cameras in the earliest Apollo landings required film - there were no digital cameras available even to astronauts. Any camera used in vacuum required pressurization of some sort (at least 1 pound PSI) to prevent destruction of the film. None of the cameras shown in the possession of the astronauts being used on the surface of Luna had any sort of pressurization equipment attached to them. They looked just like the same (Hasselblad) cameras used on Earth.

2) Since the Apollo project ended, no astronauts have ever again gone through the Van Allen radiation belts (about a thousand miles above the Earth). The guest claimed that it's because it's impossible - that the hard radiation is so intense that anyone who tried would be fried. 

There are other reasons. 'Not sure if the information he was quoting was correct, but I know at least some of it is. So it's interesting to consider the possibilities. 

I like conspiracy theories (even if some fall short of credibility) because it challenges people to look beyond appearances and assume that there may be more than meets the eye. 

Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.
