PA: Pa. Lawmakers Move to Bar Local Gun Laws in Wake of Pittsburgh Measures
Submitted by: David Williamson

When Pittsburgh passed restrictions on guns last month, it reignited a fight over which level of government should regulate firearms. In recent weeks, two Republican lawmakers began pushing to strengthen the state’s control over gun regulations and make it easier for some groups, such as lobbyists, to recoup legal fees to fight cities’ rules.

Reply to @what is truth?: Should local people decide what places of worship are allowed in their jurisdictions, or the content of their messages? Should local people decide who should be allowed to protest or publicly assemble?

You really need to get an education about fundamental rights and federalism. All powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution are reserved to the states, who then decide for themselves which which of those powers, if any, will be granted to their subdivisions.

And the Constitution, via the 14th Amendment, extends the Bill of Rights to bind the states.

Democrats wouldn't buy a clue if it was government subsidized.

Cerebrotonics will invent an infinite universe of "good" reasons (have them define "good" for a REALLY good laugh) to believe something that they have already decided (for emotion-driven reasons) they "believe".

There is literally NO limit to the human mind's capacity for self-deception - and the 'Crats / Statists employ all of them and all the rest...
