Today's radical, revolutionary, anti-conservative fanatics are True Believers in the worst sense of the term. Brutal, reptilian, vicious, cowardly opportunists. 

This is what happens when Marxists no longer fear push-back. They don't believe that anyone can stop them. They don't believe that anyone has either the courage, resources or the intellect to counter them. 

Because of the Leadership Paradox (which investor Warren Buffet alluded to recently without mentioning it specifically) free-representative government has experienced a seemingly unresolvable failure. Meritocracy has been abandoned by the government even at the highest levels. Those who are least worthy/capable of rendering effective, moral leadership are being defeated by cacogens. In many cases, good people are being defeated easily by people who should more-rightly be either in prison or homeless on the streets.
