It's a toy. Period. If people want to pay $10,000 plus for what is essentially a fancy, bulky Roomba, let them make the richest man in the world even more rich. It will be, like "cleaning robots" - virtually useless (when compared to a human being's ability to do the same work) but amusing to people with money to waste. Good for Musk in exploiting that market (infantile adults with huge amounts of disposable income). It may however be even more-alarming to pets than a Roomba so be sure to test on them before dropping ten grand!!* *Actual cost has not been announced, but that alone suggests it will be a very large sum.
