The Disney CEO was playing poker. His only hole-card was his belief that DeSantis would not pull the trigger. Disney can't close the park and move, so they will have to continue some how.

I've read some of the legal issues and there's nothing there that can't be worked out with existing law/policy. Disney will still have taxes assessed normally and any improvements they have made are the property of the city/state not Disney (even if they leave).  

High-stakes poker is like that. The Disney CEO bluffed and lost.  DeSantis knew that Disney would only get worse and worse (more and more radically wicked) with the old situation so he pulled the plug.
