There's no reason to post the article - too boring. All we really need to know is that all of the 18 lens-segments of the scope are fully functional and the systems which gather the data (including the software) are well within spec. There will be only calibration-related observations done until around June. The real science tasks should begin this summer. The sound of champagne corks popping will be heard in Mission Control at that point, but only then. That is assuming the Galactic Council does not decide our race is unworthy to join the Larger Community and punch our reset button before then (with a Chicxulub-sized asteroid/comet impact for example). ![]() |
