The "study" probably understates, because most such incidents are not reported to anybody, and are not memorable.
Re: Russ, truly, they are effective deterrents. I believe I read a study that just showing a firearm usually settles the issue. The leftist who attacked her felt the ire of all of the women on the app. -- Dee Wee Post Reply Top of thread Forum

Dee --

I have two such incidents in my own history. I posted about them before.

Another I like was a little more than just showing. My daughter got a new neighbor -- a Guatemalan with a little too much testosterone, and was showing her unwanted attention (despite having a wife and kids), and making semi-sexual comments in Spanish (which she speaks).

She has her CCW permit and lives on a one-acre lot kinda back in the woods. It's kinda country and it's legal for her to practice there. She changed her practice site from the back lot to a more frontal location where he can see her.

She said he watched her for a while. Since then, he has been excessively polite and no more sexual innuendoes.

Funny how that works, huh.

Take care,
