We have seen Buckminster Fuller's prediction that government would align itself with multinational corporations (the SEC colluded openly with sub-prime lenders and big investment banks in the AIG subprime lending meltdown) fully realized twenty years after he wrote that in Critical Path. The government bailed out the investment banks and nobody went to prison. This even though untold damage was done to innocent people who trusted the government to protect them against unethical lenders. That's because the government would never prosecute anyone in the Swamp just for exploiting the population (milking the tax cows). 

DJTs election was a shot directly across the bow of the "government is harmless and always right" meme. That's why the Swamp et al reacted so desperately to remove him.
