Baldwin's stupid denials keep getting more and more idiotic. Now he claims he didn't even know the gun went off. Right. Sure. 

Either he is badly advised by council or he is an idiot. When juries catch you in one lie, they just assume you are lying about everything. As I mentioned long ago, the best things for him to do is to simply take the rap for his negligence, pay the price and try to move on. Lying is going to get him prison time. 

Maybe like Smollett, he figures he has nothing to lose by lying (Smollett was mostly correct in that regard). In Baldwin's case, the is not the same - he killed someone, so the judge/jury will be less inclined to be lenient in the sentencing.
