Cue: (Lloyd Bridges in Airplane!) flight-controller McCroskey: Looks like I picked a bad day to quit babbling about an idiotic plan to pass a law eliminating cash bail for criminals.

Horribly sad that a national debate about the wisdom of (rolls eyes) eliminating cash bail as a mechanism to keep violent criminals off the streets (where they might hurt more people) required the horrible loss/maiming of so many innocent lives. 

I'm willing to take a wild guess and predict that the Butcher of Waukesha is not a political conservative. 

Everyone needs to read Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, and learn about the character Raskolnikov. He is a perfect example of someone who uses political ideology (Marxism) as part of his psychotic ideas-of-reference for, murderous rage against innocent people minding their own business.*

That same book also has the perfect analogy for the mindlessness of the "radical socialist mentality" in the image of the owner of a horse mercilessly, endlessly beating it even though the horse is dead. 

* In the same story the character Raskolnikov is an arrogant, desperate loser who justifies his savage robbery/murder of a landlady (using a hatchet) by quoting Marxist doggerel.
