The city cops in The Fugitive sounded like real Chicagoans, too.

And not to take issue with you, but that accent is as heavy and uniquely distinguishable as NY, Philly, Boston etc.

IMO, it is a detail that is sorely lacking to finish out the image of the show, and the PTB shouldn't have sluffed it off.
