...Fuller waxed poetic on the topic of Ephemerality. When planets pass by each other closely in their orbits it's called "precession".
Fuller noted that many of the projects he began, though not fulfilled as originally intended, yielded significant positive benefits/results.
The Apollo space program may be a great example of Fuller's Ephemerality concept. Putting human footprints on the moon was the simple goal but the process of achieving such a relatively trivial thing, generated things of incalculable value to the U.S. (and therefore to the civilized world).
