It's difficult to get direct quotes from that book without scanning the text 'cause sites that catalog them choose different ones than I would.
I think some of the quotation sites choose the ones that appeal to leftists and ignore the others that I prefer.
There were more than one in this vein of thought.
“The enemy is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter which side he is on.”
“They're trying to kill me," Yossarian told him calmly.
"No one's trying to kill you," Clevinger cried.
"Then why are they shooting at me?" Yossarian asked.
"They're shooting at everyone," Clevinger answered. "They're trying to kill everyone."
"And what difference does that make?”
