When even a veterinarian agrees that the estrogen in our food is making us sick, you know something stinks in America's fast food kitchen.
Have you heard about the non-meat "impossible" burger? Dr. James Stangle wrote in the December Tri-State Livestock News, "The impossible whopper patty is made from 24 ingredients. The whopper patty has just one ingredient. That would be beef."
He continued: "The impossible whopper has 44 mg of estrogen and the whopper has 2.5 ng of estrogen," Stangle said. "Now let me refresh your metric system," the doctor continued. "There are 1 million nanograms (ng) in one milligram (mg). That means an impossible whopper has 18 million times as much estrogen as a regular whopper."
He goes on to say that six glasses of soy milk per day has enough estrogen to "grow boobs on a male." The impossible burger is far worse.
If you recall from previous letters to you, in Hormone Balance For Men, John R. Lee, M.D. states that conventional medicine ignores the fact that as estrogen levels rise, [it is] leading to estrogen dominance in older men. This causes prostate swelling and prostatitis among worse issues. Estrogen begins to dominate, and testosterone depletes with age. This is the key to understanding BPH and prostate health as a hormone imbalance. (You can get the Kindle edition of his book here.)
It's estrogen dominance that causes the proliferation of prostate cells, BPH and an imbalance in the prostate. And what causes estrogen dominance with aging? Estrogen dominance is caused by diet and lack of proper nutrition (i.e., specific prostate nutrition).
We can safely say that estrogen dominance is caused by the same diet that causes insulin resistance (which leads to estrogen dominance) and, in most cases, obesity. The more obese we are, the more estrogen dominant we become because fat makes estrogen — although lean people are not exempt.
The bad diet leading to estrogen dominance and insulin resistance consists of sugar, trans fatty acids, white flour bread and grains as well as predominant carbohydrate diets. In other words, the American diet is killing us.
All disease originates with diet that leads to metabolic imbalance. Metabolic imbalance specifically relates to estrogen dominance and testosterone deficiency. Only preventive care in terms of diet and specific prostate nutrients coupled with progesterone and testosterone (androsome) supplementation will maintain metabolic balance and prostate health.
The protocol for reversing the slide of testosterone and restoring hormone balance calls only for physiological doses of testosterone (androsome) and progesterone. No synthetic hormones at all are recommended and no drugs.
Progesterone stimulates the action of the cancer preventive gene p53 and helps maintain testosterone, which is a direct antagonist to estrogen. Enlarged men's breasts with aging is a signal of estrogen dominance and low progesterone and testosterone. All studies show that estrogen rises in men and women with age. This must be balanced with progesterone and testosterone along with diet for both sexes and specific prostate nutrients for men. This is thoroughly explained in the book Testosterone for Life by Abraham Morgentaler, M.D. (You can order this book as well here.)
We write here about natural progesterone, not synthetic.
You already know you need testosterone, but you might not have known how necessary it is today as the antagonist to estradiol (estrogen). Testosterone prevents estradiol from causing prostate imbalance by destroying the defective cells it stimulates. Normal cells are supposed to die at their appointed maturity. This natural cell death is a process called apoptosis. If it fails, we have runaway cell growth and cell defects.
Testosterone diminishes with age unless we take a supplement in the form of transdermal cream testosterone, available by prescription. Normal testosterone offsets estrogen, but as we age, we have to rebalance with natural progesterone according to Dr. Lee.
Remember this: All cells, with the exception of brain and muscle cells, multiply continuously. Natural cell death, apoptosis, is crucially important. The balancing of estradiol with natural progesterone was basic to the late Lee's successful research and medical practice.
We emphasize that all males older than 50 should be using a small amount (pea size) of transdermal progesterone daily.
But, the fact remains that our whole acid food diet supplies us with too much estrogen, which leads to estrogen dominance.
Solution from the pumpkin patch
American Indians used pumpkin seeds to treat their prostate problems. But science has done them one better by creating a special blend of pumpkin seed extract that can help eliminate bladder problems. It's called EFLA® 940 and it contains a complete spectrum of specialized pumpkin seed extract to give you the best nutrients from the whole seed.
This uses the soy isoflavones to help the body naturally rebalance estrogen levels, instead of increasing them. Researchers have found that a combination of pumpkin seed extract and soy isoflavones can inhibit the aromatase enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen.
Testosterone helps to maintain the strength of the pelvic floor muscles that help to hold urine. Plus, testosterone helps you relax those muscles allowing for complete emptying of the bladder.
By inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, your body has more available testosterone. This is key to maintaining the muscle tone of the urinary tract and ensuring complete voiding of the bladder.
A few natural supplement manufacturers sell products containing EFLA® 940, but the one I take is found here. We used to recommend you simply eat pumpkin seeds, but we feel this is no longer enough against the onslaught of acidic and estrogenic foods we're forced to choose from today.
Yours for the truth,
