I live in Forsyth County, Georgia, which has a very low (<4%) black population.
Waffle House restaurants are very popular up here, especially with the redneck, workin' guy population. Waffle House restaurants are largely staffed by women, usually local country girls, and there is usually a lot of camaraderie between the customers and the staff. The employees are not permitted to be armed.
About eleven o'clock one night, three black youths entered a local Waffle House, threatened the cashier and demanded money.
Two of them died at the scene, the third made it to the hospital, to be charged with homicide (and convicted) when he was released.
One of the protecting customers told the Sheriff's deputy, "Them boys cain't just come in here and scare our ladies."
Well, yeah, seems like it, huh?
