TX: What's standing in the way of new gun restrictions in Texas? Here are the key players
Submitted by:">Mark A. Taff

The National Rifle Association sounds an alarm to drum up new members.

"Our rights are under attack like never before," the group warns on its website.

In hopes of getting Second Amendment enthusiasts to click the red "Join" button and sink $45 into a membership, the powerful organization touts its lobbying arm and political action committee.

NRA = Bogeyman? Siwwy wabbit, Tricks are for KIDS.

The Democrat Party has taken off the mask and moved from "Nobody's coming for your guns." to "Hell yes, I'm going to take your AR-15, your AK-47!" The so-called 'moderates' maintaining the façade groaned in helpless frustration when Beto gave it up, foiling their decades-long lie.

The blush is off the rose, and if anyone thinks that the NRA isn't the most important organization standing against this assault, they're delusional.

Yes, GOA and others are equally vital (and sometimes more effective), but the NRA has been the bedrock of defense against the anti-constitutional gun banners for a long, long time. It has the name recognition and it has 5+million members.

Basically anti-2A people are progressives, and progressives reject our Declaration of Independence and Constitutional structure out-of-hand. The DoI sets the parameters of our liberty, and the Constitution codifies it. This is why/how they attempt to justify the "Yes, but..." rationalizations of their disobedience to our national ethos and heritage.

But our message (per those documents) is and always must be YOU CAN'T DO THAT.

"[T]he enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table." - D.C. v. Heller (2008)

Democrats wouldn't buy a clue if it was government subsidized.
