Dakota Roughriders Friends of NRA 1st Annual Banquet
The Dakota Roughriders Chapter of the Friends of the NRA will hold their first banquet on Friday, October 25th, to raise grant funds for the national organization that defends Second Amendment rights. The local nonprofit Chapter, will hold a delicious banquet style meal [Yes.. yes.. DELICIOUS! BANQUET-style!] at Mandan Eagles Club, 1400 Collins Ave, Mandan, ND. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the supper and event are $35. Money raised by the organization is used to fund grants for 4-H programs, Boy Scout organizations, Reserve Officer Training Corps programs, police and sheriff’s departments and other shooting programs throughout North Dakota. The organization promotes the education of individuals of this country with respect to firearms.That includes encouraging young people to participate in shooting sports while teaching hunting safety and marksmanship along with respect for other subjects that are important to the well-being of the general public. State Fund Grants are awarded to eligible applicants for qualifying projects or activities that promote firearms and hunting safety; enhance the marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports; and educate the general public about firearms in their historic, technological, and artistic context.
The NRA Foundation grants provide essential program funding that ensures the availability of quality training and educational opportunities nationwide. Grants benefit programs such as youth education, law enforcement training, hunter education, conservation, firearms and marksmanship training and safety, and much more.
The grants also are used to fund research toward the improvement of firearms safety and marksmanship facilities and techniques.The grants are offered to programs that support the activities of the NRA of America to the extent that such activities are centered on charitable, educational or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
