I don't believe that for one second. Republicans, whether in office or not are solidly behind the most conservative president since RWR.
It is far more credible to assume that Flake et al, are lying, than telling the truth. Again, Ockham's Razor.
If the 'Crats believe that they can actually vote for impeachment with this as "evidence" and also avoid paying the political consequences for their actions, they are as deluded as Slick Willie was when he perjured himself trying to avoid the same.
If there is one thing I have learned about anti-conservative fanatics over the decades, it's that they NEVER learn from their biggest mistakes. See, narcissists don't really BELIEVE that they even MAKE mistakes. So learning from them is QED impossible.
