Profiling a substantial
barrier to gun control

Is the Second Amendment costing lives? Could the government save lives by ignoring the Second and Fifth Amendments and confiscate guns? Some argue that the lives saved would be worth it.

One estimate shows there were 14,611 murders by guns in the U.S. in 2018 with only 373 from mass shootings.

Should we save lives by taking the guns of the millions of law-abiding gun owners or the criminals?

We could allow cops to stop and frisk, including traffic stops. All illegal guns would be confiscated and law-breakers arrested. Massive sweeps of crime-ridden neighborhoods would unquestionably save lives.

This actually would take guns off the streets. But that would require profiling which, strangely enough, seems a bigger obstacle than the Second Amendment. However, if you want to grab guns to save lives, at least be sincere and grab the right ones.
