A good proposal to push would be to tie federal public education dollars to local approval of content by parental committees (in lieu of ultimately devolving the system back to localities, which is a long row to hoe). Play it up big, as in, "Do you KNOW what they are teaching your children? You really need to find out."
The federal mandate would not pertain to content, rather to local approval of same.
