Ocasio-Cortez Slams Male Reporter for 'Sexist' Article – Turns Out Two Women Wrote It

3-4 minutes

“Lady Had a Job Got Paid More Than Me.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Thursday called out a male reporter for sharing an article about how Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., ran a lucrative side gig as a lawyer while she was teaching.

Retweeting Andrew Kazynski, the head of CNN’s investigative KFile, Ocasio-Cortez seemed to suggest he was jealous that a woman was making more money than him. “BREAKING NEWS,” she said sarcastically, “Lady Had a Job Got Paid More Than Me.”

The congresswoman went on to mock what she apparently took to be Kazynski’s sexism-inspired reporting, suggesting his time would be better spent looking into corporate campaign funding.

However, if Ocasio-Cortez had clicked into the article she was bashing, she would have seen that it was not published by CNN but rather by The Washington Post. Also, it was not written by Kacynski but rather by two women: investigative reporter Elise Viebeck and political reporter Annie Linskey.

They found that Warren – a Democratic presidential candidate whose campaign is all about standing up for the “little guy” – worked on more than 50 legal matters during her career as a professor at Ivy League law schools, charging as much as $675 an hour to advise a variety of clients, including people with asbestos disease and a corporation facing possible liability over ruptured breast implants.”

Ocasio-Cortez shares a left-wing economic outlook with Warren, albeit with significantly less education and experience behind it. Earlier this week, the two politicians teamed up for some feminist criticism of the “Game of Thrones” series finale.

Democrats wouldn't buy a clue if it was government subsidized.
