The law holds those in perceived positions of authority to a higher standard than laymen when it comes to coercive influence.

This lady was naive, and the guy was a cad. That it translates into criminal penalties is not surprising, but it is disturbing.

Yet another case where the state steps in to supplant personal responsibility.
