SD attorney general supports national concealed carry bill

KEVN

South Dakota’s attorney general joins with 23 other attorneys general
to push congress to loosen concealed carry laws across the country.

The
attorneys general sent a letter to Congress showing their states’
support of the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017
and the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017.

“The Second
Amendment gives law-abiding citizens the fundamental right to bear arms
for the defense of themselves, their families and their homes. As
attorney general, I have a strong interest in protecting and defending
our law-abiding citizen’s right to keep and bear arms,” stated Marty
Jackley. “This will grant South Dakotans as they travel to other states
the same privileges that we grant our guests when they are here in South
Dakota.”

These bills, if enacted, would allow anyone with – as
an example – a South Dakota concealed carry permit to carry in every
state.

A House committee approved the bill earlier this week, sending it to the House floor.

Another 16 attorneys general sent a letter to Congress opposing the national concealed carry bill.

LIBERTY HAS NO EXPIRATION DATE

Democrats wouldn't buy a clue if it was government subsidized.
