Original Message:   This Cringe-Tok affair is starting to sound just like the odious Patriot Act redux.

The pretense of addressing a real problem (the licentiousness, spying/data-mining, cultural rot and lethal destruction promulgated by Cringe-Tok) is now being used as a wedge to enact what appears to be a piece of legislation that is as bad or WORSE than the Patriot Act, which was a mistake of almost catastrophic magnitude.

If anyone wants to ask me to state a mistake made by a Republican president, signing the Patriot Act (Bush 43) is without question one of them. It was classic positive proof that indeed the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

Tonight (Monday 3-27)Tucker Carlson elucidated the central issues, some of them raised by the Market Watch article Primo posted recently. Whenever the 'Crats want to do something like this, it's time to pump the brakes. BIG TIME.

'Seems clear to me that dealing with pestilent social media is sort of like weeding a lawn. The lazy approach is to mow over or otherwise remove a dandelion or other weeds from the ground up, ignoring the root. That doesn't work.

Maybe nobody in Congress has ever done their own lawn weeding, so they just don't understand reality. heh
