Gov. De Santis is not running for president. He's too shrewd to buck the political process. Right now, it's DJT's election to win or lose as he is the strong favorite within the mainstream of the Republican party. 

One thing that's great about DeSantis is that he doesn't often comment on things that don't concern him directly, which the Jan 6th affair most decidedly does not. 

He is content to allow the process to work itself out through Congressional leadership. McConnell is the one who is trending toward cowardice these days. If McConnell doesn't show some backbone in regard to calling the 'Crats on their shenanigans and stop vacillating, it could finally be his undoing. Besides, McConnell is no friend of DJT, so he may be already planning to retire rather than go another four years with Trump climbing up his ass with a microscope.
