Conservatives do not allow themselves to waste time on distractions, including video games. Truly conservative people are too concerned with the necessities of living to get overly-invested in entertainment/distraactions. 

According to the Freudian/Jungian definition, the human mind has an unconscious component which contains all of the impulses we consciously restrain. The impulse to violence as a method of first resort, for instance. Or theft or any other moral/legal trespass. Though we suppress them most of the time, the impulses remain as what they called "recessive" tendencies. 

Indulging those impulses is what makes fantasy games seductive and what drives the industry to such large profits.
