Original Message:   I share your enthusiasm to slay the Hydra, but Big Cap companies never really die...they just divest one market and retool to attack another.

When a corporation is cash-rich and invested in mass-market products/services, they just move their assets around - assisted by investment bankers don't they?

Tens of thousands have already lost their jobs in the latest Wall Street massacre in the name of big cap company profits for the shareholders. It is commonly good business to cut the size of a company work force, apparently. 'Drives higher stock value, cuts debt - lets you run mean and lean.

The unpleasant side of market economics/capitalism - job security is a thing of the past except for a minuscule and shrinking few.

It's starting to look as if the "permanently employed" are the new ruling class. The parasites have in many cases become the bosses.

Or in foreign sectors especially, even people like the psychopath/CEO, "Emanuel Jean Baptist Zorg (Gary Oldman)," in the classic SF film Fifth Element
