Stossel voiced his displeasure that the election betting website PredictIt will be shut down due to an FTC order. Although I don't trust bettors (and won't waste time watching the odds change), people should be free to do things at their own risk, as long as they accept their own responsibility. Besides, the 2024 presidential election will be rigged again (and future ones as well). Trump and DeSantis stand a chance against Xiden, but neither stand a chance against voter fraud. And these betting websites won't take that into account. I don't get the hype. As I said before, our elections are completely broken. So the same issues will happen again unless we do things like ban mail-in ballots, return to paper only, one vote per person, etc. In the end, Stossel said "it would be a much better world if government would mostly leave us alone!" Exactly! And pride goes before the fall. Reality wins every time (referring to Trump's massive rallies).
