Joe Pesci was smart enough to stay out of the way and let her have most of the attention and best lines. Her performance makes the movie great, no question. Just a great film start to final scene (with the "WOP" Sorvino making believers out of all of the yahoo rednecks). That climactic courtroom scene in "Vinny" is right up there with the cowboy bar- scene from "48 Hours" with Eddie Murphy/Nick Nolte
