He doesn't know his astrophysics from a hole in the ground. The 'scope is (as Robert Heinlein might have said) dinkum. IOW, nominal in every operational parameter. A remarkable demonstration of technical mastery by its creators/managers, despite the 'Crats trying to boost themselves politically by associating themselves with it. As if any single one of them did anything whatsoever to significantly affect the program even one iota. The only thing the 'Crats can honestly say is that they somehow did not ruin the Webb scope program as they have ruined virtually everything else the federal government has "managed" during the Xiden regime. God help us - at least they have not ruined the space program YET...
