July 23, 2004 – Not wanting to be left out of the celebrity rush to bash Bush, John Lennon despite being dead, yesterday joined the list of liberal celebrities who have come out in opposition to the president of the United States.

The late Mr. Lennon communicated with the Assorted Press
through his surviving wife, Yoko Ono. Yoko Ono, Beatle fans may remember has a voice like an eagle being goosed. Some blame her for the Beatle breakup.

According to Ms Ono, a Marxist, Mr. Lennon announced that he was angry with President Bush, and would "tell him off if I weren't indisposed at the moment."

The decomposing composer said that if he were still alive, he would have protested the Iraqi the war by inviting all of his friends to his bedroom for a naked session of chanting and singing.

"That's how I stopped the Vietnam War, and it would have worked for this one too," Mr. Lennon added. "But given my current position, perhaps I could participate in one of those die-ins that are popular with the peace crowd."

Those who knew him remember the live John Lennon as being good at being inarticulately abstracted for the same reason that midgets are good at being short.

The very dead Leftist icon, John Lennon, is also remembered for once saying, “We (the Beatles) are more popular than Jesus now. I don’t know which will go first – rock and roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary.”

President Bush’s spokesman said, "Mr. Lennon has a right to protest. At least he won't be blocking traffic."
