Left-winger's Constant Reference to Bush as "Hitler" Results in Nazi Revival in Berlin

By Hans Wurst, TAP foreign correspondent

March 7, 2006 (TAP) Berlin ~ Berliners in passing stared openmouthed at the scene in central Berlin on Monday: huge red banners bearing the Nazi swastika fluttering in the winter sun outside the city's cathedral, Wehrmacht soldiers in their steel helmets standing guard between the imposing pillars of the Old Museum and a crowd of hundreds cheering the Führer with enthusiastic Hitler salutes and chants of "Sieg Heil!".
The city's central square was the scene of a Nazi rally complete with giant swastika banners and a new Führer, Adolph Hitler II, addressing the cheering crowd.

Several older Berliners said they blame the Nazi rally on the American Left and their constant comparing of President Bush to Hitler. One Berlin pensioner said he heard about the American school teacher who told students during a Geography class that Bush acted like Hitler. Other younger Germans agreed saying that the leftist Democrat Party in America by their foolish Bush-Hitler comparison sparked the new interest in the old Nazi regime. Said one German, "We don't see why anyone should get angry about a Nazi revival here now, blame on the left-wingers; anyway it's part of our history."
Although there has been a gradual dying out of the Nazi era generation -- over 80 percent of Germans today were born after 1941, new interest in Nazism has been generated by the insistent labeling by the Left of anyone opposed to socialism as Nazis or Fascists.

Because of Socialist-Democrat propaganda, about a third of young Germans today believe the United States attacked itself on September 11, 2001 and that there is no such thing as fundamentalist Muslim terrorism.

A survey of 1,000 people for the weekly Der Scheisse, also showed that most Germans believe the following:
– The Bush administration has caused four of the last five hurricanes.
– The New York Times and CNN are American news organizations.
– The U.S. paid the Emir of Arabia to attack the World Trade Center in hopes it would lead eventually to more oil for the Bush family.
– Barbra Streisand can't spell but she is the greatest singer and wisest American of the past 100 years.
- American sheepherders dressed as cowboys are for the most part "gays".

Fritz says: When dealing with left-wing peaceniks or the anti-war crowd, keep this in mind; "They're not really antiwar -- they're just on the other side."
